I graduated from Fortis College in Salt Lake City in May of 2016. I went to school to become an HVAC Technician, and Fortis College helped me to accomplish that.

First of all, I had amazing help from the ladies in the front office. They all helped me get started from admissions to scheduling to financial aid and also the job placement.

Fortis has a diverse group of instructors who allow time for hands-on experiences. For example Ned H. allowed us students to go with him to help install new Air Conditioners and furnaces in residential homes of people living in the Salt Lake area. He gave us all opportunities to apply what we have been learning in our classes.

I now having graduated moved out of state but still Fortis helped me to acquire a job. I am now doing work in the HVAC field as Lead Installer for the company I'm working for. My boss and coworkers were shocked when they found out I had only just graduated school and that I could do an install without any guidance and/or help from the more experienced workers. Thank you Fortis for providing an environment to allow me (a dad, husband, provider) to go to school, learn, and work as well. I would recommend Fortis College to anyone who is eager to gain a career and not just a job.
