Fortis College in Mobile, AL: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
In our Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program, in Mobile, AL, you will be trained with the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a limited advanced life support level with an ambulance service, fire department, hospital, and in industrial settings.
The objective of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program is to prepare students to sit for certification as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician by National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). The course is based on the U.S. Department of transportation (DOT) guidelines for EMT course curriculum, including but not limited to: Preparation and Introduction to Emergency Medical Care, Patient Assessment, limited Advanced Life Support, Medical and Behavioral Emergencies, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Trauma (infants and children), and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) operations. Instructional delivery this program of study is conducted on campus and at a variety of approved clinical sites.
